OPENING THE GATES TO CHANGE

Krishiv Shah writes to complement one of his striking clicks. If only we looked and really saw where we’re taking our beautiful planet…

“Louis Armstrong has said: “It isn’t the world that is so bad, it is what we are doing to it.”

This picture of the Golden Gate Bridge was taken last summer, with greenery brightening up the surroundings. However, this year, everybody was left in shock when the fog settling on the bridge was not due to the Pacific Ocean but the devastating forest fires, which burned down millions of acres of land.

Everyone wishes to travel. But where will we travel if there is nowhere to go? Where will you go to appreciate nature if the forests have burned down and the beaches have drowned? Where will you go to see the view over the clouds or under the sea if the skies are dawned with fiery red smoke and the oceans are coated brown with chemicals and oil?

Fires, floods, the melting of ice caps, storms and hurricanes sweeping over cities, wrecking anything in their paths and homeless species should in fact motivate us to make this world a better, cleaner and more sustainable place. Greta Thunberg has made it a lot easier when she said, “Climate crisis has already been solved. We already have all the facts and solutions. All we have to do is to wake up and change!””

(The SHOUT! Network will continue to champion the cause of beating Climate Change and Krishiv’s work. We haven’t known a more sincere and unique approach to moving minds and eyes to do right!)
