CAMPAIGN #5: A DROP IN THE OCEAN

Blood Banks in Maharashtra are dry.

The COVID-induced lockdown has resulted in a massive decline of blood reserves.

Blood donation drives were not organized these past few months in order to avoid crowds so as to prevent the virus from infecting more people.

Civilians are understandably afraid to visit hospitals and blood banks since there is a risk of picking up the virus.

However, patients of cancer, emergency surgeries, thalassemia, sickle-cell disease and other unfortunate conditions are in dire need of blood.

We are not going to squander your valuable time going over the benefits of making a blood donation. The SHOUT! Network takes pride in assuming you are well aware that this noble act makes us happier and healthier.

This a humble request to all those who are willing and able to please make a blood donation.
SHOUT! has teamed up with The Maharashtra Blood Donors Directory, an online portal where donors and seekers are brought together. The directory is tied up with hospitals and blood banks across the state of Maharashtra. When you register yourself here, the information recorded will help the directory contact you directly with details of specifically where help (a blood donation) is required.

(Attention: As keen as we are that you donate, as benevolent as you may be, we empathize with those living with the aged, vulnerable and immunocompromised. We therefore request each of you to think this through, take cognizance of the health and safety of those you share your home with and only then come forward to make a donation. You could be of immense help by simply sharing this campaign with those who are least at risk to donate and unlikely to compromise the health of those around them by doing so.)
